Standard Rules

Players are expected to attend all training sessions including pre-season training & fixtures. 48 hours notification to the Manager is required for non-attendance to either training or match fixtures.

A fee of £1.50 for training applies when either indoors or on Astroturf (Winter Months). All non-notified absents fees still apply. If a player consistently misses training, this will be taken into account for match squad selection.

A registration fee of £20 will apply to all players who sign on with the club. This should be paid over the pre-season training period. The player is only available for match selection once fee is paid in full. This fee helps to cover costs such as league entry fees, and affiliation costs with the County FA.

Match fees are to be paid directly to the Manager before leaving the venue. Match fees are currently £5.00 starting 11 (over 18), £3.00 starting 11 (under 18), £2.00 if a used sub, if unused sub no fees apply.

All players are to arrive ready to begin the training session on time. When training has ended, players are expected to help with clearing away of equipment.

On match fixture days, players are expected to arrive at the designated meeting place at the time stated by the Manager. For home matches, players are expected to be at the venue ready to warm up at least 45 minutes before kick off.

Players are responsible for paying any fines incurred as a direct result of a player’s action. This includes fines for red and yellow cards. All fines are to be paid to the club secretary or treasurer within 7 days of receipt. Failure to comply without a justifiable reason will result in suspension from the club until payment is received. A failure/refusal to pay fines will mean that the player will be reported to the county FA.

Where kits are allocated to players, the players will be responsible for looking after the kit. The kit is ONLY to be worn in games representing West Lynn Ladies. The kit must be returned to the club when asked for by the Team Manager. If a player takes responsibility for a kit, then any loss or damage (except wear and tear caused during matches), then the player will be charged for the replacement. A fine of £2 per item will apply when forgetting kit on match days.

Players will remain silent whilst match tactics are discussed prior to the start of the fixture until after the Manager/Assistant Manager/Coach has finished. During the half time ‘team-talk’, players will remain silent until after the Manager/Assistant Manager/Coach has finished.

Players are expected to adhere to the standards as set out in the club code of conduct.

THESE RULES MAY BE CHANGED AT ANY TIME WITHOUT PROIR NOTICE

Anti-Discrimination

  • Equality of opportunity at West Lynn Ladies Football Club means that in all our activities we will not discriminate or in any way treat anyone less favorably on the grounds of sex, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or disability.

    This includes:
  • The advertisement for volunteers.
  • The selection of candidates for volunteers.
  • Courses
  • External coaching, and education activities and awards.
  • Football development activities.
  • Selection for teams.
  • Appointments to honorary positions.
  1. West Lynn Ladies Football Club will not tolerate sexual or racially based harassment or other discriminatory behavior, whether physical or verbal and will work to ensure that such behavior is met with appropriate action in whatever context it occurs.

West Lynn Ladies Football Club is committed to the development of the programme of ongoing training and awareness-raising events and activities in order to promote the eradication of discrimination within its own organisation and in the wider context, within football as a whole.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Equal Opportunities

  • West Lynn Ladies Football Club is committed to a policy of equal treatment of all members and requires all members of whatever level or authority, to abide and adhere to this general principle and the requirements of the Codes of Practice issued by the Equal Opportunities Commission and Commission for Racial Equality.
  •
All members are expected to abide by the requirements of the Race Relations Act 1976, Sex Discrimination Act 1986 and Disability Discrimination Act 1995. Specifically, discrimination is prohibited in:

Treating any individual on grounds of gender, colour, marital status, race, nationality or ethnic or national origin, religion, sexual orientation or disability less favorably than others.

    1. Expecting an individual solely on the grounds stated above to comply with requirement(s) for any reason whatsoever related to their memberships, which are different to the requirements for others.
    2. Imposing on individual requirements, which are in effect more onerous on that individual than they are on any other. For example, this would include applying a condition (which is not warranted by the requirements of the position), which makes it more difficult for members of a particular race or sex to comply than others not of that race or sex.
    3. Victimisation of an individual.
    4. Harassment of an individual (which for the purposes of this policy and the actions and sanction applicable thereto is regarded as discrimination).
    5. Any other act or omission of an act, which has as its effect the disadvantaging of a member against another, or others, purely on the above grounds. Thus, in all the clubs recruitment, selection, promotion and training processes, as well as disciplinary and other matters (in other words all instances where those in control of members are required to make judgments between them) it is essential that merit, experience, skills and temperament are considered as objectively as possible.

West Lynn Ladies Football Club commits itself to the immediate investigation of any claims of discrimination on the above grounds and where such is found to be the case, a requirement that the practice cease forthwith, restitution of damage or loss (if necessary) and to investigation of any member accused of discrimination.

Any member found guilty of discrimination will be instructed to desist forthwith. Since discrimination in its many forms is against the Football Club’s policy, any members offending will be dealt with under the disciplinary procedure.

West Lynn Ladies Football Club commits itself to the person with disabilities whenever possible and will treat such members, in aspects of their recruitment and membership, in exactly the same manner as other members. The difficulties of their disablement permitting, assistance will be given wherever possible to ensure that members with disabilities are helped in gaining access. Appropriate training will be made to such members who request it.
